Located about 1km outside of town towards Beganil, Pestana Palm Gardens is a resort complex of tourist apartments. While some of the units may have impressive ocean views, the standard suites are basic one bedroom apartments with a kitchenette in the living area and no view, although I could see a sliver of ocean from the bed. The unit was clean and in good shape, built with good quality materials, but is dated with lots of light oak. The rooms are good sized and there is plenty of storage space. The unit had a good Wi-Fi connection and plenty of outlets for charging electronics. The bed, however, is just OK and the towels are the thin scratchy kind. The kitchen is fine for breakfast but didn’t have any knives for cooking other than a bread knife. The bathroom is good sized for Europe with a bath/shower combo and counter space around the sink. Amenities included a safe and hairdryer. The water is scalding hot if you are not careful. Common areas include a well maintained pool and lounge area next to the restaurant, but there are no ocean views. Parking is in front of the units. This is a fine place to stay, but I think there are better options in Carvoeiro.

We had a very good stay here. Its a 5-10 minute walk to an outstanding beach. We appreciated the free on site parking, the pool was excellent and the facilities were super nice. Extremely beautiful grounds and everything was well-kept. The apartment was spacious and comfortable.

The location is perfect. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Just far enough from the city center, yet it was within walking distance to the beautiful Praia do Vale das Centeanes. The unit we were in had an amazing terrace view of the ocean and it was roomy and comfortable for my family of 6. The property also has a fabulous restaurant on site called Restaurante Sal e Tal that has a very fresh and tasty offering for continental breakfast and accommodates take away dinners even when their dining room is completely full.

Second time staying in the Pestana Palm Gardens. Loved our house - with a back terrace and garden, balcony and roof terrace that faced the sea and got sunshine most of the day. Plenty of places to sit/lie outside as well as three locations to eat (two tables outside and one table inside). The kitchen is well equipped and the cleaning staff were thorough and very friendly (especially the girl from Ukraine). The location is great - on the cliff walk, right beside a beautiful beach, close to the town and restaurants but in a quiet location. If we go back to Carvoeiro we’ll be staying again.

I liked the layout of the hotel complex. Very clean ground, gardens and pool area. It’s a bit of a tough walk into town and the beach coves but we’ll worth the effort. The rooms had everything you require for a stay and it has easy off road car parking.

Nice accommodations near the beaches and Hanging Valleys Trail. Wonderful pool to cool off in. Nice big kitchen, only stayed one night so did not use. Parking right in front of unit. Beautiful flowers, and the upper deck was nice to have a drink at and watch sunset. Definitely try the restaurant by the

Excellent place, really enjoyed our stay, the staff are friendly, especially the two staff that run the bar and restaurant always smiling and have a great chat with each and every person they serve, the place is clean and well maintained, the accommodation was comfortable and excellent cleaning staff, overall a very relaxing stay.
